Carter Kits are sensory support kits designed to help our first responders provide care to individuals with autism, sensory sensitivities, or other special needs

The kits contain items that can help reduce anxiety, provide comfort, improve communication, and build trust between the patient and EMS providers during an emergency. Our Northern Berks EMS staff has been trained to utilize these kits to serve our communities. A Carter kit has been added to each of the ambulances as another tool too help provide each of our patients with the best possible care.
