It is with much regret and great sadness that Northern Berks EMS announces the death of Mr. Ronnie Zimmerman. Mr. Zimmerman was an active volunteer member of our organization until he became ill. He also volunteered his time with various fire departments in our response district. For those of you that had the opportunity to meet Ronnie you knew he had a strong passion not only for his family but also the Community he served. Ronnie would always have a bigger than life smile that greeted you when you entered the room. Ronnie had a sense of humor that could brighten your darkest day, and after speaking with his beloved family, he had this sense of humor until he passed onto eternal life. Ronnie was a proud father and proud grandfather of his grandchildren that also followed in his footsteps in community service. Our organization had the pleasure of having many of his family with us as they grew up. In his final hours, Mr. Zimmerman was able to spend his time with his family whom he loved dearly.
